Das Werk basiert auf einem Vers der Tragödie Die Troerinnen von Euripides: "Unter dem Flügel des Windes vergeht und entschwindet unsere besiegte Stadt." Zentral ist der symbolische letzte Atemzug, mit dem das besiegte Troja zerfällt. Die Klänge der Percussion-Instrumente, bei denen verschiedene Besen-Spieltechniken zum Einsatz kommen, erinnern nicht nur an Gewalt und Auslöschung, sondern auch vergangene Macht und Pracht.

The work is based on a verse from the tragedy The Troopers of Euripides: "Under the wing of the wind our defeated city vanishes and disappears." Central is the symbolic last breath with which defeated Troy disintegrates. The sounds of percussion instruments, using various broom playing techniques, are reminiscent not only of violence and extinction, but also of past power and splendor.
