Probably the shadow theater dates back to prehistoric man, when he recreated figures with hands before the fire. In China, Turkey and Cambodia soon acquired artistic and dramatic beyond pure visual entertainment levels. In India and Indonesian culture, shadow puppeteer, called Dalang, acquired the status of priest who could come into contact with the upper world. The shadow takes us to a unshaped world, not created, in which reflects our passions, our fears, our internal divisions. The shadow does not exist; what you call shadow is the light you not see(Henri Barbusse).

Notes for the purpose:

The work requires a sharp and dramatic gestures. Although it has not been specifically indicated in the score any given time, the interpreter will choose those movements which chords to sound gestures, both the electronics and cash. Since the video / score brings light to the space of the box, it is recommended to use black dress, quite dark stage and a light from under the box, so that certain shadows movement insinuate interpreter.

Probablemente, el teatro de sombras se remonte al hombre prehistórico, cuando éste recreaba figuras con las manos frente al fuego. En China, Turquía o Camboya adquirieron pronto niveles artísticos y dramáticos más allá del puro entretenimiento visual. En la cultura india e indonesia, el tirititero de sombras, llamado Dalang, adquiría la condición de sacerdote que podía entrar en contacto con el mundo superior. La sombra nos traslada a un mundo informe, no creado, en donde se reflejan nuestras pasiones, nuestros miedos, nuestras divisiones interiores. “La sombra no existe; lo que tu llamas sombra es la luz que no ves”(Henri Barbusse).

Notas para la interpretación:

La obra requiere una gestualidad acentuada y dramática. Si bien, no se ha indicado especialmente en la partitura ningún momento concreto, será el intérprete el que elija aquellos movimientos acordes a los gestos sonoros, tanto de la parte electrónica como de caja. Ya que la video/partitura aporta luz al espacio de la caja, se recomienda utilizar vestimenta negra, escenario absolutamente a oscuras y una luz proveniente de debajo de la caja, de modo que se insinuen ciertas sombras con el movimiento del intérprete.
