A standard repertoire piece for all aspiring young players. Water and Fire was the second prize winner in the 1982 PAS composition competition. The first movement is a rondo that alternates a chorale theme with lateral sticking sections. The second is a driving Latin finale based on one hand octaves and double lateral strokes.
