Latinology takes the basic drum set beats from five Latin dance rhythms (beguine, cha-cha, tango, bossa nova and samba), and divides them among five percussionists. The individual parts are simple, but combine to create grooves authentic to all five dance styles. There are opportunities for improvisation and part expansion to allow for additional players.
