In this unique presentation Johnny dissects and details his personal formula known as ‘ Groove Factory’ - demonstrating the ‘Free Hand’ technique, the one handed roll and how it can be used in time, to expand the possibilities of groove. Mike Mangini
Mike Mangini is world renowned for his WFD (World’s Fastest Drummer) speed record, and talks about how he developed his speed and dexterity by studying the nature of what speed is! His extensive studies into the mechanics of the body and brain have resulted in the publication of his two volume series titled ‘Rhythm Knowledge’. In this workshop Mike explains the Rhythm Knowledge concept, defining the process of sending signals from the mind through the body to endeavour to change behaviour - behaviour that can improve both your playing and your life!

A vastly different but equally brilliant approach to his workshop, Will Kennedy looks at the emotional and spiritual side of musical expression through drumming. He talks about being ‘sensitive to the music’ and ‘supporting the song’ through the development and understanding of time and groove and unselfish expression. Will also talks about how to think outside the box and ‘dare to be different’! Famous for his years with the legendary ‘Yellowjackets’, he imparts his vast live and recording experience on an enthusiastic audience while bestowing the virtues of his incredible and unique open handed playing style.
