Almost 100 years ago, Gershwin had already started experimenting with the sounds of everyday life into his music, using his background of jazz, classical and modern and traditional music. The performers on this recording were winners of the 2010 ARD Competition and their skills combine to make this recording a dazzling display of Gershwin’s music.
